Milford Astor is an Australian owned and operated private company established in 1954 with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. The company specialises in stamping foils, hot stamping & pad printing machines, thermal transfer ribbon and a wide range of associated printing consumables. Supplying many of Australia’s leading companies with decorative foils to enable their products to stand out from the competition. Milford Astor defines its business as "Equipment manufacturers and suppliers to the product marking, coding and plastics decorating industries". The company supplies both domestic and export markets with quality equipment and foils.

Milford Astor is a quality assured company to standard AS/NZS  ISO9001:2000  since 1993 and is regularly audited both internally and externally in both its Sydney and Melbourne operations. Prompt correcting actions help to maintain the high standard of quality and service.

History

Milford Astor was established in 1954 as a subsidiary of an English company, Milford Astor-Ltd. It was subsequently purchased by Mr Victor Newman who had previously designed, built and successfully sold hot stamping machines. He felt hot stamping foil (MA's primary business then, as now) would be a useful adjunct to the sale of hot stamping machines. The Australian market for hot stamping continued to expand partly due to the growth in plastics and embellishment in the graphics arts field . The introduction of date and batch coding in the food and pharmaceutical industries also created an important market for Milford Astor. 

Milford Astor is Australia’s only manufacturer of pigmented and metallised hot stamping foil.
